Fernando Carriazo is an Associate Professor at the Department of International, Political, and Urban Studies in the Urban Management and Development Program (GDU) of Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. He obtained his Ph.D in Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. Formerly, he was a researcher at the USDA-Economic Research Service, and professor and researcher at the Economics Department at Uniandes.
At present he is a board member of the Environment for Development-Colombia initiative (EfD-Colombia). His current research interests include the economic and spatial analysis of environmental externalities, the economics of pollution control and conservation policies, and the analysis of urban-rural linkages and their impact on regional development.
