Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law (Medellín)  |  Degree

The program is founded on the principle of the market economy and free enterprise, under the new constitutional guiding principles of social outreach. Its fundamental approach is oriented towards training specialists who will facilitate and promote commercial operations and be able to appropriately manage the risks that can affect business owners. Likewise, these specialists will provide fair and balanced solutions to problems and, as a consequence, be consistent with the current situation in Colombia, which is a social state governed by the rule of law where private enterprise is permitted provided that it does not subvert the common good.The program also establishes a parallel between several of the institutions that receive dual treatment under Colombian private law, due to their being regulated by both the Civil Code and the Commercial Code. In this sense, the Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law seeks to reach interpretations that go beyond specific preferences or trends and are supported by the strict application of the sources of commercial law.
