Política pública de discapacidad para el municipio de Medellín : la garantía de los derechos humanos de los cuidadores familiares de personas con discapacidad entre el 2013 y 2015

The following research proposes an analysis of the implementation of the disability public policy for the city of Medellín through the program” Acompañamiento psicosocial y emprendimiento para cuidadores de personas con discapacidad” Between 2014 until 2015. Therefore, it will be carried out a brief contextualization of the current situation of the caregivers, demonstrating the necessity to develop public policies and different programs to ensure this population´s Human Rights. Additionally, the program strategies aimed to guarantee Human Rights will also studied, as well as the situation of the caregivers before and after the implementation of the program. All this above establish if the Human Rights, especially the Right to employment of the caregivers are guaranteed by the public policy though the program. Last, for this purpose, the analysis will be developed by means of the right-based approach methodology for the analysis of the public policy.
