This article seeks to analyze the phenomena of self-inflicted body marks from Anglo-Saxon psychoanalysis and by the light of the object relation theory and resulting line of psychic development from child psychoanalysis. Within the literature review, there are parallels between self-development theories, studies derived from cultural psychoanalysis and research in the field of psychosomatic for studding from different perspectives the phenomenon of self-inflicted body marks.
