  • In the Colombian context, the musical theater presents several different conditions to its booming country (United States), which makes the way of approaching the sea different from the culture of the country. In terms of artistic training in this theatrical genre, compared to the United States, the epicenter of Musical Theater, culture and tradition includes Musical Theater from childhood stages compared to Colombia where a panorama of artistic education is evident and much less emphatic in the Musical Theater. The pre-university project in Musical Theater at the Universidad del Rosario in agreement with MISI - School of Musical Theater is an idea that arises from the need of students and the context of Colombian art to make all applicants known and contextualized with the industry of this magical theatrical genre capable of integrating three languages ​​such as Music, Dance and Theater in one, Due to the need to create culture through art and transform people's thinking even for the better. And this is how the public who visit MISI's musical shows describe it: “I leave this show thinking differently”, “I needed to feel how I felt watching this show”. This project is divided into two large chapters. The first is the research phase, which in turn is divided into three parts. The first one addresses more than 40 institutions that offer preparatory courses, programs and / or pre-university with artistic approaches in music, dance and theater in Colombia, and a quantitative analysis of the hours and duration of courses; the second, an analysis of interviews with 80 students involved in the undergraduate program in Musical Theater of the Universidad del Rosario and the last, an interview with some foreign students and their explanation on how the preparation in musical theater works to enter an institution to study it professionally. The second section is the proposition phase that consists of four parts. In the first one, the justification of the pre-university is exposed followed by the profile of entry and exit of the applicants; in the second, the methodology and pedagogy of the Research-based Program are explained to authors; third, some suggestions and appraisals from teacher authorities in each of the areas involved are shown and finally, fourth, a proposal for the pre-university schedule is presented, followed by a short description of the subjects and their objective during the program.
