The article contains the results obtained from the research of the alternative local music scene and the musical industry in Bogotá. The objective is the analysis of the musician’s experiences in the local scene as indicators of the musical industry functioning. In the research, the qualitative methodology used is derived from the sociologies of the individual and the sociology of artistic work. It is possible affirm that the alternative scene and the musical industry had a distant relation because the characteristics of the actors involved in each one and their internal operations.
