  • Universities can face annually crisis events given the institutional, national or world circumstances. The Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 put the missionary continuity of various organizations at risk, given the impossibility of continuing to work in person, which led them to react quickly. To provide an adequate response to these crisis scenarios, organizations must have a roadmap that allows them to carry out a set of specific actions. One of the tools to respond in time to these scenarios is the good use of communications, with assertive and on time messages, and directed to specific stakeholders. This thesis analyzes the management of communications during the pre-crisis and crisis of Coronavirus in a private university in Bogotá. It is important to remember that universities were, without a doubt, one of the organizations that had to quickly rethink the way of giving its classes in the middle of the situation.
