  • This article shows an analysis of the practices associated with the preparation and execution of the minutes with a differential approach, aimed at a school feeding programme operating in a meal center of a children's home in Colombia that serves children belonging to an indigenous Pijao community. The study had a qualitative approach that sought to describe and analyze, first, the institutional guidelines that enhanced the creation of the differential approach minutes as a nutritional standard, which gradually, tried to integrate in its elaboration, cultural aspects of the food phenomenon of the population recognized as differential. Second, its implementation in a specific case, according to the appraisal of the actors involved in the process (nutritionist, food handler, educational agents, parents and children). With these, it is intended to show how in practice the implementation of the differential approach in the school feeding service is carried out, the responsibility of the different actors, and the impact of food education of the children’s home on the children’s families costumes.
