abstract

  • The purpose of the research was to describe the general index of organizational climate and the relationships between the types of transformational and transactional leadership, with variables of organizational climate in a social and business club in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. A descriptive analysis was carried out that assessed the perception made by 685 collaborators regarding the relational dynamics of the organization under the notion of macroclimate. The results showed that the general index obtained by the organization regarding organizational climate was (78.21% acceptable), evidencing a greater type of transactional leadership (67.3%) associated with contingent reward factors and management by active exception, due to the type of customer segment on which the organization operates (member services). Additionally, there was a significant correlation between the types of transformational and transactional leadership of r = 0.78, p <0.01, highlighting that all the correlations between the types of leadership and the climate variables are significant at the 0.01 level. bilateral. It was concluded that, although for this type of organization a type of transactional leadership predominates, the company must be able to train and develop leaders with a high capacity to influence their collaborators, capable of combining traits and characteristics of the two types of leadership according to the results obtained.
