abstract

  • El Museo de la Arepa is a restaurant that will be located in the district of La Candelaria, Bogotá, with a focus on self-service offering typical Colombian arepas in five different varieties; each of one represents a region of the country. Will be constituted through Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada S. A. S. The project is an idea of two families and their culinary tastes and family traditions. We want to create a space of leisure devoted to culture and cuisine and which highlight one of the badges products, symbol of our Colombian identity and icon of our cuisine: the arepa. We want to become the best choice to eat arepas in Bogota and offer to our guests, in addition to a delicious product and best quality, a place of different leisure activities where our consumers get to know local art of this area through urban artist’s exhibitions, musical and dance performances and a museum conceptualization of the place. We are at a stage of consolidation and we expect to open the restaurant in January of 2017. Currently, we are looking for a location in La Candelaria between La Catedral and La Concordia neighborhoods.
