The present paper carries out an analysis of the content of the media coverage that Revista Semana and the newspaper El Tiempo carried out on the case of the Ring Community from November 2015 to May 2016. Through this work we seek to understand the structure, the journalistic products, the tone, sources and other elements employed by both media to account for how a narrative was constructed that can respond to the needs of an audience that consumes critical journalism. In addition to analyzing how the media reported on the issue, the interest of this study is to investigate how from the journalism of opinion and the informative journalism the facts were presented understanding so that both media built the discourse that characterized.
