The Tejo is a sport that represents the Colombians, mainly the Cundiboyacense region. It can be practiced by anyone, however, thanks to its historical development, a stereotype has been created around it. This stereotype suggests that only men can practice it and, specifically, popular or rural men. However, with the passage of time, the Tejo has been transformed and the national Tejo league shows male and female competitors, young and old and of different social classes. In this ethnography i try to deconstruct the perceptions of class and gender in two fields of the Tejo in the city of Bogotá: Los Bucaros and La Veleñita.
