The monographic work seeks to answer the question: What philosophical position is more appropriate to establish a fair relationship between human and non-human animals? In the search for an answer to this question, the importance of leaving behind the anthropocentric and speciesist failures typical of traditional philosophy will be emphasized to give rise to the recognition of animals from the perspective of justice.
