  • Journalism supplies the basic need of society to be informed, to later build an opinion, and make conscious decisions. The professional has a great responsibility to influence people since misinformation can have serious consequences in daily life. In this work, the reporter comes across a variety of topics, including health. In previous studies, it has been affirmed that the audience feels misinformed regarding health matters, and from there the need to evaluate the role of one of the most consulted media in Colombia arises. The objective of this research was to find the most frequent generic frames in specialized health journalism in the digital version of the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo during 2018. The study showed that two frames are frequently found in scientific coverage. Attribution of Responsibility for how journalists share solutions to events related to well-being. Human Interest is in the way of humanizing news events.
