As a result, the objective of this investigation has been to demonstrate that the strategic interest of the United States is to seek and alliance with India as a strong actor in the region, for the containment of the advance of power of China, through three dynamics: 1) The strengthening of the security relationship with India, since its geopolitical projection and position; 2) The consolidation of the commercial ties promoted by the United States in order to improve the economic conditions of India, and therefore counteract the economic power of China and its political influence in the region; 3) Finding in India a democratic anchor in Asia, in contrast of the socialist political model of China.
