  • The research seeks to analyze the impact of the organizational processes of Higher Education Institutions HEI, for the voluntary adherence to the Global Compact by the verifying compliance of the principles a documentary and practical level. This initiative is the great value by the participation of academia for their contribution in the critical activities, research, learning, educational resources, training of responsible leaders, among others. In that vein, the objective of this study is known, what are the benefits of adopting the ten principles related with human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption in the HEI, through the review of the Communication on Progress (COP) and/or Communication on engagement (COE), field work relevant to the research. The first stage it was the diagnosis from the documental review of the reports if each active HEI in Global Compact and the check of compliance of the commitments described in the reports through interviews in the HEI selected. The second stage consisted in evaluate through a matrix: the level of the knowledge, compliance, motivation and effectiveness of the results of each HEI. The results refer to the unification of efforts within the organization, knowledge transfer, greater visibility in society, among others. Definitely, the adhesion of Global Compact has allowed the HEI are responsible to serve the educational and business organizations.
