abstract

  • Liver transplantation has become a treatment option for those with end-stage chronic liver disease, as well as for those who develop acute liver failure (1). This has led to a careful evaluation of the different indications and associated factors so that patients can undergo a highly complex procedure such as transplantation. The prevalence of cardiovascular adverse events during and after this procedure is not well established worldwide; however, what has been identified is its association with greater morbidity and mortality for those patients who present them. Therefore, this work seeks to describe the different cardiovascular outcomes present in adults after liver transplantation, as well as possible factors that are associated with its development in the Cardioinfantil Foundation - Institute of Cardiology 2005-2019, through a retrospective analysis.
