abstract

  • Corporate social responsibility is an issue widely addressed by the international community that since its inception has changed the way companies act. It has been almost seventy years since its study and analysis began. However, new authors, models and entities are appearing looking to bring something new to the term and propose actions so that companies can benefit more and better. This document focuses on the description of social responsibility and sustainability processes, especially in the companies Coca-Cola FEMSA and Toyota, visited during the academic exercise of business mission by the School of Administration from Universidad del Rosario, held in the city of Buenos Aires in 2019. It also seeks to identify the possible impact that these companies with their responsibility and sustainability actions can have on Argentine and Latin American society. It was also sought to know the processes by which these companies bring benefits to communities, the environment and therefore to economic development. In the development of this work, the literature related to conceptualization on corporate social responsibility and sustainability was explored and the information provided in the sustainability reports of the selected companies was used. Likewise, records, observations, visits, presentations, and conversations with those involved during the business mission were taken into account to conclude that these companies do include within their policies, strategies and corporate purposes the philosophy of responsibility with all stakeholders.
