Background: Primary eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders are a set of inflammatory diseases characterized by the infiltration of eosinophils along segments of the gastrointestinal tract. These disorders include eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), eosinophilic gastroenteritis, eosinophilic enteritis, and eosinophilic colitis. In Colombia, only two studies match the data of descriptive studies of populations with similar characteristics Objective: To describe the cohort of pediatric patients with eosinophilic gastroenteropathy at Fundación Cardioinfantil between2013 and 2017. Methods: An observational, descriptive study of a cohort was performed, in which we executed an analysis for data cleaning and identification of missing data. We performed a descriptive univariate analysis. The distribution of the characteristics is given in relative frequencies (%) and their association profiles are examined through a multiple correspondence analysis. Results: 61 patients were included for the analysis. The distribution of the population by gender was similar, with a slight predominance of boys, the most frequently diagnosis found was colitis with a 48.5%, followed by eosinophilic duodenitis with 24.2% of the cases. The main management was the elimination diet, and after treatment all the patients improved slightly the measures of weight and height. Weight improved from -1.65 to 1.25, without significance befores and after treatment. Discussion: Eosinophilic gastroenteropathy, must be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of abdominal pain uin the pediatric population, specially in patients with a history of atopy and anthropometry commitment.
