  • Digital social networks have unleashed a revolution in the way we communicate in the XXI Century. Twitter is the most outstanding social network, among other reasons, for its dynamism and immediacy. Due to its popularity, the media have attracted attention to this social network because they see it as a new information space, which is why they have become to turn twitter in a channel for the transmission of timely cyclical current opportune events.In Colombia, the traditional news media are trying to modify their structure and routines to suit the new communicative mold that proposes the inclusion of the digital social media networks. This article attempts to reveal which are the changes that have suffered the Colombian journalism based on its relationship with Twitter.
