Sandra Botero is associate professor at the Faculty of International, Political and Urban Studies of the Universidad del Rosario. Professor Botero’s research has been published in the Journal of Latin American Politics, Latin American Research Review, Latin American Law Review, Comparative Politics and Law and Social Inquiry. She was awarded the 2016 Law and Society Association Dissertation Award for outstanding work in law and society.

She is part of two collaborative research projects: one exploring the relationship between public opinion and high courts in Colombia, and another studying the dynamics between the Colombian Congress and Constitutional Court. She specializes in comparative judicial politics, courts and politics as well as comparative political behavior, with a focus on Latin America.
