  • Juan Camilo Arias is faculty member at the School of Engenieering, Science, and Technology of Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá - Colombia. Before that, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in the Representation theory group of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics under the supervision of Vyacheslav Futorny. Previous that, Juan Camilo was a lecturer at Universidad de los Andes and Universidad del Rosario, and a MinCiencias postdoctoral researcher.

    Juan Camilo obtained his Ph.D in 2018 at Universidad de los Andes under the supervision of Erik Backelin (Uniandes) and Kobi Kremnizer (Oxford). Its masters degree is from Universidad de los Andes under the supervision of Erik Backelin and he is mathematician from Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín - Colombia.

    Juan Camilo works in representation theory. In particular, he works on Lie algebras and quantum groups. Juan Camilo is also interested geometric and combinatorial incarnations of representation theoretical objects and their interactions with D-modules, Soergel bimodules and categorifications.
