abstract

  • This research was conducted to discuss how the relationships between Information Communication Technologies (ICT) photocopies, technological suppliers, and users is problematic due to several sets of relations that involve technological artifacts, social groups, political projects at international, national and institutional levels and control mechanisms that relate to each other in scenarios of constant tension, interests and negotiation. The exploration of these relationships allowed to identify the existence of a common problem between the diverse groups involved in the use of technologies in education: the lack of knowledge about the practices of use of technological artifacts. Therefore, we explore through suppliers and users of technologies in Universidad del Rosario, the main elements that contribute to the concept of practice of use of technological artifacts. The results of this research showed that the main elements of practice of use can possibly be categorized in 3 dimensions: 1. Responsibilities that technological artifacts demand on their users 2. Political tensions for the use of technological artifacts and 3. Pedagogical models on the use of technological artifacts.
