This work seeks to address the legitimacy and validity of forgiveness and resentment, understanding that both are possible responses to the offenses of another. The dangers of both resentment and forgiveness will be explored, and how these not only affect the relationship between two subjects, but have implications within the community. In this scenario, it is understood how forgiveness and resentment are connected with claims for justice, the exercise of memory, the demand for punishment and reconciliation.
