abstract

  • Although Spanish and Portuguese are sister languages that share many linguistic features, there are differential aspects that can be difficult to notice and understand for Portuguese-speaking learners of Spanish. The Spanish class impostor is a gamification didactic proposal that seeks to address these aspects from the understanding of them, so that students are aware of the limitations in communication that can occur when these aspects are ignored. The proposal was designed as result of an inquiry process in which the design thinking methodology was followed and, through class observations, a questionnaire and an interview, most frequent difficulties were at the grammatical, lexical and phonetic levels. Based on the above, this proposal was designed, implemented and, finally, the students' opinions were collected through a final questionnaire. The Spanish class impostor is an innovative project, since its objective is to do linguistic practice based on comprehension, it includes different grammatical, lexical and pronunciation aspects, and it is structured as a gamification with a motivating narrative that puts students in the central role of the learning process.
