abstract

  • The present work aims to identify the way in which the process of sensemaking and sensegiving is generated in an intercultural administrative context, particularly within a Japanese multinational that operates in Colombia. In order to do so, a case study was carried out, from a qualitative and interpretative perspective, of a Japanese multinational with operations in Colombia. Our results allow us to identify that this process is carried out in a way that is very different from the tradition that has shaped the sensemaking and sensegiving discourse. This, given that it escapes the gaze focused on the United States and Europe, who have been the main drivers of this, and focuses on a critical case, namely: a Japanese multinational operating in this Latin American country.
