The present study consisted of establishing the relationship between the level of physical activity with the psychomotor profile in children aged 9 to 11 years from the Municipality of Santiago Putumayo, there was a population of 40 children belonging to the indigenous ethnic group and another, through the use of the PAQ-C instrument to determine the level of physical activity and the Da Fonseca battery (BPM) to evaluate the psychomotor profile. Taking into account the score obtained in the PAQ-C, it was possible to identify that the population is physically active; in the results obtained in the BPM, the children have a eupraxic or normal psychomotor profile. The analyzes are carried out taking into account the two groups according to the sex of the participants. When performing the Pearson correlation test between the variables of physical activity and psychomotor profile, there was no correlation between the general results (P=0.5), however, there is a possible trend for these variables. The present study made it possible to screen a poorly studied population. Furthermore, with the screening data and the approach to the relationship between the psychomotor profile and the level of physical activity, strategies, plans or programs can be formulated at a territorial level focused on intervention in regular practice of physical activity in indigenous children, in addition to knowing the motor patterns that influence this population.
