abstract

  • In this research it is analyzed the existence of community concepts in the definitions of Continuing Education, in the manner in which higher education institutions understand Continuing Education and the influence that the use of community strategies made by Continuing Education, might have in its relationship with the environment For this, we used a research and case analysis method, selecting a representative case, and a intracase explanatory design. Propositions and protocol analysis were both defined. We used various sources of evidence, such as documents, financial data, performance, and others from different social sectors. They were analyzed within logical evidence. It was concluded that the Continuing Education definition includes community concepts, that higher education institutions use these concepts, in the way they understand Continuing Education, and that the use of community strategy positively affects the relationship of Continuing Education with the environment.
