During the intership in the Comité de Ética en Investigación Sala Ciencias de la Vida de la Universidad del Rosario - CEI-UR (Committee on Research Ethics in Life Sciences of the Universidad del Rosario) a series of activities that contribute to the processes of the committee were observed. These activities are, among others, taking part in sessions and reviewing scientific and regulatory references, both national and international, for the construction of technical concepts in controversial research topics for discussion and analysis. An analysis will be made from the field of psychology on the growing “open science” movement, which aims to disclose as much information as possible on research processes, and the possibility that this may have a psychological impact on research volunteers as personal and sensitive data is shared. Finally, a series of recommendations will be issued to the CEI-UR, indicating whether such issues occur in the context of their research processes and highlighting the responsibility of the members of the organization to protect the rights of volunteers, through the timely and rigorous identification of the risks and benefits of projects awaiting approval.
