This text makes a analysis from a historical anthropology perspective of the construction of the concept of the body of the breastfeeding woman in the early twentieth century in Colombia. With this porpouse, I explore the process in which some medicisians of the period designed knowledge (physiology, bacteriology), tools (statistics), laws and social programs (Gotas de Leche) in order to convert lactation and the body of the lactating woman in an exclusive field of medicine
