  • ntroduction. The underground coal mining in Colombia, is one of the most productive areas with great job opportunities for the workers' capital. However in the sector has been increasing accidents problem tends to increase with the development projected for 2019 in the number of workers and the arrival of new technologies.Objective. To determine the association between the risks identified by workers and those established by the company in the respective sub preventive and occupational medicine, industrial hygiene and safety and characterize the activities of the sub preventive and occupational medicine, hygiene and safety implemented in enterprises.Materials and methodsCross-sectional study was conducted in order to establish frequency of association between the risks identified by workers and firms established by underground coal mining in the department of Boyacá. Two singles and enterprise questionnaires were applied, of characterization activities and partnership between both through statistical analysis was determined, the sample was probabilistic, stratified, randomized two-stage proportional allocation and conglomerates.resultsThe study showed that only a fulfillment slightly more than 50% of the legal system is presented. As for the identification and understanding of risk, the association between risk recognized by workers and those reported by the company was significant in physical noise 16.2% and 8.88% hot work. The association between the use of personal protection equipment by workers and delivered by the company was significant in respiratory protection additive cartridge 75.80% and 78.00% protection insertion type and cup-80.40%.conclusionsFound among other risks identified by workers and firms established by very few and hardly applicable legal requirements are met.
