  • This research analyzes the female body configuration in the military physical training for women at the Escuela Militar de Cadetes José María Córdova located in Colombia. This is a qualitative study with a narrative approach in which the life stories of the women of ensign rank were known as well as their experiences in military life, for a period of no less than three and a half years. Likewise, the officers with the rank of second lieutenant and lieutenant, who have already run their profession for a period between one and eight years also with the work of troop command. The sample consisted of two women per rank, six in total, who were chosen randomly and voluntarily. The instrument implemented was a semi-structured individual interview where three major topics were addressed: first, childhood; second, teenage years and interest in military life; third, military physical training and recognition of their bodies. The results were able to identify related aspects to the construction of the concept of body transformation in military women. It then goes on to describe how military women have shaped military training for themselves, and finally with the identification of the place where the female body is transformed, the training and work environment, through military training that defines the particular characteristics of the bodies.
