The objective of this article is to analyze the influence that the combos’ territorial control, has over child recruitment in the Comuna 3 in Medellin. It aims to prove that one of the consequences of such control is that minors enter this groups without being physically forced to do s; and that physical and economical safety perception, and the local way in which they are seen influences the recruitment. In order to prove it, a series of interviews to the inhabitants were conducted and the comuna was visited, several times.
