  • It is important the study of the HRP and its relation to the engagement, for the decisions making about human resources, so that the purpose of this investigation was to describe the relationship between the HRP and the engagement in a Higher Education Institution - HEI of Bogota, for this it was carried out an investigation with 72 collaborators both administrative as academic. The measurement scale used in this study takes into account the following factors of HRP: selection, promotion, training, performance evaluation, compensation, work / family balance and the factors analyzed in the measurement scale for engagement which are vigor, dedication and absorption. After the data was obtained, it was processed through the Statical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The data was analyzed, based on the conceptual arguments and precedents that justify such research, generating results that contributed to validate the hypothesis and objectives raised, with basic statistics of correlation and regression to determine the predictive power of one variable over the another. In general terms the results show that the HRP have a significant effect on the engagement although differentially.
