abstract

  • As a result of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the cases of gender violence against women in Colombia and in municipalities such as Tunja increased significantly, for this reason the national government by means of decree 1710 of December 2020 created the Mecanismo Articulador para el Abordaje Integral de las Violencias por Razones de Sexo y Género, de las mujeres, niños, niñas y adolescentes. In view of this panorama, the present research is developed within the framework of the anthropology of public policies as it seeks to analyze the configuration of the response to gender violence against women among different state and non-state institutions that integrate the Mecanismo Articulador para el Abordaje Integral de las Violencias por Razones de y Género, de las mujeres, niños, niñas y adolescentes in Tunja, without losing sight of the panorama of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research is based on the work carried out with institutions such Fiscalía General de la Nación, Policía Metropolitana, Medicina Legal, Secretaría de la Mujer y Secretaría de Protección social de Tunja; and with the women's group of Casa de la Mujer de la UPTC. The findings of this investigative panorama allow us to arrive at the idea that the configuration of the response to gender violence against women in Tunja is the product of the experience of officials that has allowed them to identify lessons learned in the system of attention and with this to develop it in the municipality from different levels. But to achieve this, it is necessary to understand the tensions and relationships around prevention, awareness, promotion of access to justice, training, attention to victims and accompaniment, among the institutions and groups in charge of providing attention to this type of violence in Tunja.
