Given the interest that comes with corporate governance issues, this paper aims to describe whether on-line disclosure of the contents of the codes of good governance is crucial in positioning with Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the QS ranking. Starting with a sample of 20 HEI, a set of dichotomous data was collected for 30 independent variables and the dependent variable associated with known position in the ranking. From the above, a descriptive and correlational work in order to test the research hypotheses is developed. This study revealed that online disclosure of the contents of the codes of good governance in the HEI, is not decisive for the position in the QS ranking.
