This project is an analysis based on the business mission carried out in the cities of Santa Marta, Barranquilla and Cartagena from March 21 to 24, 2017. This visit was highlighted by teaching in greater depth the functionality of the port industry in the main scenarios of the Colombian Caribbean. Likewise, the logistics that cover the transport of merchandise, both import and export through water, were explained, since the great water richness that Colombia presents has led to the consolidation of its fluvial and maritime arteries as one of the means of transport with greater impact on the Colombian economy. On the other hand, it is desired to implement different concepts of the administrative world that complement the work carried out in Cotecmar. In this way, it seeks to sustain a proposal that, if incorporated by the chosen company, will help increase the percentage of participation that Colombian shipyards have with respect to the demand generated at the national level according to the operational capacity of each company.
