  • This set of chronicles inquires about how four Embera indigenous-Trans build their gender identity in west Risaralda, Colombia. Starting the relationships with their family, their ways of living, the local government institutions, and after challenging practices and symbolic representations from gender-sex system imposed on the territory, this women are the dissidence in their communities, even in trans category. This narratives are stories that rebuild and show the struggle this women and their partners have created in order to be whoever they want with no need to lose their lives.
