In Colombia, the hydrocarbon industry is one of the sectors that contributes the most economic resources to the country. However, in the areas where it operates, there is a rejection of activities, despite the actions carried out by companies to strengthen relations with stakeholders. In this context, this research is carried out, which focuses on describing the understanding and perception of stakeholders regarding the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies implemented by a group of companies in the oil and gas sector in Puerto Gaitan, Meta. Through in-depth interviews and focus groups with employees, providers of goods and services, members of the community and representatives of the authorities, it was possible to find out how CSR is understood and what are the attitudes and assessments of these practices.
