The most productive authors and the authors trends with regard to sex, profession and production; countries, institutions and magazines with the highest number of publications about such disorder are identified. Age and anxiety are the variables that are most frequently associated with the topic; likewise, the Children Depression Inventory (CDI) was identified as the most common instrument for measuring depression in children. Within this period stand items focused on research about people with different health conditions, correlational and cross-sectional data, and written by multiple authors. The analysis of the results shows an increasing interest and concern of the researchers to investigate the frequency of the state of mind disorders and more specifically in children depression, and the association and influence that this disorder may have in their development.
