To be able to be lasting, an organization need management, activity related withthe strategy, the innovation and improvement.This writing integrates strategy and improvement, when linking innovation andquality in the Colombian organizations. A revision of the existent theoreticalframework is made on the two concepts it stops then to explore in 6670companies, the existent relationship among the investment in technologies ofmanagement of quality and obtaining of innovation results making. The resultsindicate that in Colombia, the certifications of quality are not a competitiveadvantage that allows to achieve results in innovation.
