  • This report focuses on the need for a new social security policy, taking into account how the precariousness that usually accompanies informal work becomes, in moments of public health crisis, what we identify here as ultra-precariousness. The figures in this report come from the database on the informal economy in Colombia prepared by the RUPTURAS21 team. Among the sources of information are the Large Integrated Household Survey (GEIH), including information from the departments of the Amazon and Orinoquia and additional modules related to migration and ethnic population, the Special Registry of Health Service Providers (REPS), information from the National Health Institute (INS), the Integrated Social Protection Information System (SISPRO), the National Registry of Human Resources in Health (ReTHUS) and the Single Database of Affiliates (BDUA).
