I have broad research interests that cover the areas of landscape ecology, remote sensing, and geospatial analysis. My current research interests are focused on: i) the use of Earth Observation data for mapping and modeling of terrestrial ecosystems; ii) the development of spatially explicit indicators for the representation and evaluation of ecosystem services; iii) qualitative ecological modeling of complex systems. My previous research has been focused on the analysis of land use change in protected areas, the evaluation of landscape connectivity and fragmentation, modelling of habitat mapping, ecosystem services mapping. I am currently focusing on Neotropical environments. www.gecoes.org
