Assistant Professor of the Physiotherapy program and the Center for Studies in Measurement of Physical Activity, at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is a member of the research group in rehabilitation sciences in the line of physical activity and health and ​​basic sciences applied to physical exercise (high altitude physiology, exercise and chronic diseases, exercise and mental health). Her formal training as a Physiotherapist and Master in Physiology is complemented by training as a Therapeutic Yoga Instructor, Health Coach for The Institute for Integrative Nutrition from New York, and her experience as a high-performance athlete. For this reason, his teaching practice has been directed in recent years towards the teaching of subjects related to physical exercise, physiology, sports rehabilitation, learning strategies, and the facilitation of learning in medical education.

His academic production so far is related to the effects of exposure to altitude hypoxia, where he has led research on the behavior of indicators of erythropoiesis and iron metabolism in adaptation to chronic altitude in the country. Likewise, it conducts research on the educational environment and learning, as well as its relationship with levels of physical activity and mental health. Currently, it is part of the mind and body initiative of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where research on physical exercise, mind and body techniques and mental health. Therefore, his current interest is in research on the physiological effects of physical exercise on mental health and chronic diseases, as well as on interventions based on health education.
